manufactures air launched weapons, smart submunitions, intelligent
battlefield munitions and sensor systems, as well as ground
and airborne surveillance systems. For more than 50 years,
our problem-solving power has led to standard-setting solutions
that have helped shape the future of aerospace, defense and
security industries around the world.
Among our achievements is the Sensor Fuzed
Weapon, smart anti-armor weapon, which made its combat debut
in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. Reports of its successful
use describe the destruction of multiple armored tanks with
a single weapon - while leaving a clean battlefield. The SFW
continues to demonstrate its versatility and lethality against
stationary or moving land and maritime threat targets.
Recently, we were awarded several major contracts
in the area of force protection including: Intelligent Munitions
System; Future Combat Systems Tactical and Urban Unattended
Ground Sensors; and Spider, Man-in-the-Loop Force Protection
System.
We remain competitive and true to our legacy
in the development the Joint High Power Solid State Laser
(J-HPSSL) for use in U.S. military applications as well as
missile detection and tracking systems for the U.S. Air Force.
Our capabilities continue to flourish
through the recent acquisition of Innovative Survivability
Technologies (IST). IST brings over twenty years experience
in survivability systems including vehicle protection systems
and radiation detection systems for homeland security applications.
