Intelligent Munitions System (IMS)

Textron Defense Systems' Intelligent Munitions System (IMS) is a revolutionary networked sensor and munitions system that brings unprecedented situational awareness and force protection to the battlefield. Based on battle-proven Sensor Fuzed Weapon technology successfully deployed during Operation Iraqi Freedom, IMS integrates sensors, munitions, and networking technologies to engage and destroy vehicles from light-wheeled through heavy-tracked.

IMS consists of a manned Control Station and one or more Dispenser Modules (DM). Each DM can interface with multiple lethal/non lethal munitions and sensor systems to offer extraordinary flexibility in designing effective obstacles and attack targets. IMS feeds directly into the Future Combat System Network where crucial information is provided to soldiers and units to assist in Battle Space Shaping, Force Protection, Economy of Force and Assured Mobility.
