Textron Defense Systems, an operating unit of Textron Systems, a Textron Inc. company, delivers its customers precision, power and protection through innovative air-and ground-based smart weapons; directed energy weapons; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, or ISR, systems; and protection systems.
Headquartered in Wilmington, Mass., we have more than 700,000 square feet of manufacturing, laboratory, engineering and office space, as well as additional key locations in Goleta, Calif., Richardson, Texas, and Waimea, Hawaii.
In 2005, we began a continuous improvement journey to focus on our impact to and integration with our customers using Lean Six Sigma and other techniques. In addition, our operational capabilities include design, manufacture and support from concept to aftermarket; design expertise in hardware, software and systems integration; and state-of-the-art electromechanical assembly and testing.
